This is a perfect location to enjoy the Scottish borders, Kielder, Northumberland coastline, Hadrian’s Wall, Alnwick and shopping at Newcastle’s Metro Centre. Shops and pubs 2 miles.

Two bedrooms. Lovely sitting/dining room with wood burning stove and vaulted beamed ceiling. Well equipped fitted kitchen. Bathroom/WC. Full size bunk bedded room with hand made beds and vaulted beamed ceiling. Beamed double bedroom.

Reviews
Lovely area to stay in with options for travelling north, south or just staying in and around the farm with plenty to do to keep everyone occupied (3 young children and harrassed parents). Turned out to be much better than our original plan to stay closer to Hadrians wall as it opened up the attractions like Alnwick Gardens which we wouldn't otherwise have considered.

These cottages are superbly located for exploring Northumbria and, importantly for us, are especially 'dog' friendly. There was even a homemade cake awaiting our arrival and fresh flowers added to the welcome. Well equipped and spotlessly clean - we will be returning!

The peaceful landscapes of the Northumberland National Park and the Cheviot Hills are a paradise for nature lovers. There are also some fantastic cliff paths and quiet beaches to explore on the coast. And there’s Kielder Water, England’s largest man-made lake. Set in beautiful countryside, this is a magnet for watersports enthusiasts of all kinds.
There is a chain of massive castles on the coast waiting for you to discover on one of our Northumberland cottage holidays. Alnwick Castle, dubbed the “Windsor of the North” boasts an impressive renaissance interior containing a wonderful art collection, as well as stunning gardens. The castle at Warkworth is also very well-preserved, while Bamburgh Castle, the seat of the old Kings of Northumbria, has a fantastic location right on the seashore. Don’t miss a trip to Lindisfarne, birthplace of English Christianity, or to Hadrian’s Wall, which runs through the county. And for great shopping and nightlife, and a unique atmosphere, head to Newcastle.
